Wavves – Hideaway

A little over a year ago, Nathan Williams found himself in San Diego, where, in a small Behind his parents' house, where he wrote what would eventually become Hideaway, his seventh album as Wavves. It was also the place where he recorded some of his first albums before becoming he became known for his uncanny ability to write songs that mocked the world and at the same time while evoking pathos, compassion, and a deep understanding that sometimes we are our own our own worst enemies, and that that can be okay.

Williams' return to the Home of his childhood was not just a symbolic attempt to jump-start creativity creativity. It was the result of a series of major life changes.
