  • Co-produced by Jacob Portrait (Unknown Mortal Orchestra) and Matt Molnar (who was responsible for the debut), "Twentytwo in Blue" finds Sunflower Bean staying true to their core as a guitar rock band with roots in classic rock while exploring more sonic textures.

    On "Twentytwo in Blue" there is a sublime maturity and further development of their sound as well as their songwriting. While on the debut "Human Ceremony" it was the raw beauty of the gauzy, grooving wall of sound that set the band apart, now there is a new directness in the songs - a result of their evolution as a band as well as the insanity we experience in today's world.

    In the UK Sunflower Bean did a big tour with Wolf Alice last autumn and played in front of 10.000 people at the sold out Alexandra Palace. In April they will also be live with us with the new album.
