Just as the hippie movement was discovering its peaceful, light 70s sensibilities, Sandy Harless from Chillicothe, Ohio released "Songs", their only contribution to the Cosmic Americana genre. Funded by a fish farm with 27 aquariums, the album shows its Appalachian roots with a tight interweaving of mountain folk, rural rock and pastoral country. Real American folk music.
