  • After the overwhelming success of last year's 1971-74 box set, which included the first four studio albums and, for the first time, this lost "final" album recording, "Punkt" is being released as a stand-alone album to the relief of fans and collectors and the undoubted delight of those who have yet to experience the magic of these recordings

    While working on the "lost" album that the band recorded in Munich, I realized that I was listening to the last recordings of this band lineup. It had been their attempt to release another album, which didn't happen for various reasons. After that Munich session, each band member focused on other things, and that was the end of Faust. No more recordings, no more gigs. Period. Which means "point" in German and also includes "punk."
