Electric Light Orchestra – Out Of The Blue (2xLP)

The colorful troupe around the musical multi-talent Jeff Lynne (the producer, guitarist, singer and composer of almost all ELO hits) produced a good dozen top-class albums in the course of their band history, including classics like "Discovery" , "Out Of The Blue" and "A New World Record". The sound of the Electric Light Orchestra, founded by ex-Move member Roy Wood, was characterised by sophisticated string arrangements, which were performed on stage by three violinists and cellists, among others.
