Beach House – Thank Your Lucky Stars

"Thank Your Lucky Stars" was recorded at the same time as "Depression Cherry," though all of the songs on this album were written after the tracks on the Baltimore duo's recently released fifth LP, so it felt very different for the band from the start. Of the surprise release, the band themselves say, "Thematically, this record feels quite political in places. It's hard to put into words, but something about this album moved us to release it away from a regular 'campaign'. We just wanted to release it into the world and let it exist there."
